GuruBooks Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern access to and use of the GuruBooks website, including GuruBooks.guru (the "Site"), and purchases or downloads of books, PDFs, digital content, subscriptions, promotions, and related services offered through the Site or linked checkout platforms (collectively, the "Services").
1. About GuruBooks
GuruBooks is an imprint and trade name of Castles and Kingdoms, LLC, a limited liability company organized in Nevada, U.S., with a business address at 2248 Meridian Blvd, Minden, NV. Castles and Kingdoms, LLC is the legal entity providing the Site and Services and is referred to in these Terms as "Castles and Kingdoms," "GuruBooks," "we," "us," or "our," as the context requires.

2. Acceptance of These Terms
By accessing or using the Site, submitting an order, downloading a product, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
If you are using the Services on behalf of a company or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
3. Eligibility
You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must make the purchase or otherwise authorize your use where required by law.
The Services may not be used where prohibited by applicable law.
4. Products and Digital Delivery
GuruBooks primarily offers digital books, instructional guides, downloadable PDFs, coupons or gift links for digital products, bundles, and related content. We may also offer physical products, subscriptions, or other products in the future.
Digital products are normally delivered electronically through a download link, email, thank-you page, Payhip, or another identified delivery platform after successful payment or completion of an eligible free offer.
You are responsible for providing a valid email address and for maintaining a device, internet connection, PDF reader, and other software reasonably necessary to access the digital product.
5. Orders, Prices, Taxes and Payment
Prices are shown before purchase and may be changed at any time for future orders. We may correct typographical, pricing, or listing errors and may cancel an order affected by an obvious error, with a refund if payment has already been collected.
Applicable taxes may be added or collected as required by law. Payment processing and digital checkout may be provided by third parties such as Payhip and Stripe. Their separate terms and privacy practices may also apply to the transaction.
An order is accepted when payment is successfully processed and the digital product is made available or an order confirmation is issued, subject to any mandatory consumer rights.
6. License and Permitted Use of Digital Products
Unless a product page expressly states otherwise, purchase or free receipt of a GuruBooks digital product grants the recipient a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license for personal, non-commercial use.
You may download and view the product on your personal devices and may print a reasonable number of copies for your own personal use unless a product-specific license states otherwise.
You may not resell, redistribute, upload, publicly post, share download files or access credentials, reproduce for commercial distribution, sublicense, remove proprietary notices, or create derivative products for sale from GuruBooks content unless we give written permission.
A gift coupon or gift link may be forwarded to the intended recipient as expressly permitted by the promotion. The underlying PDF or paid download may not be redistributed to multiple recipients unless the offer expressly permits it.
7. Refunds, Cancellations and Digital-Content Rights
Because digital products can generally be accessed immediately and cannot meaningfully be returned after delivery, purchases are generally final once download or access has begun, except where the product is defective, the customer was charged incorrectly or more than once, we fail to provide the purchased product, or applicable law requires a refund or other remedy.
Nothing in these Terms limits statutory rights that cannot legally be waived. Consumers in the European Union and United Kingdom may have a 14-day cancellation right for certain distance contracts. For digital content supplied immediately, applicable law may permit that right to end once supply begins only after the consumer has expressly consented to immediate supply and acknowledged the loss of the cancellation right.
Where such consent and acknowledgment are legally required, Castles and Kingdoms, LLC or its checkout provider should obtain them before the immediate download begins and include the required information in the order confirmation.
For a damaged, inaccessible, incorrect, or duplicate purchase, contact support@gurubooks.guru with the order information so the issue can be corrected. Any refund approved under these Terms or required by law will normally be returned to the original payment method.
8. Subscriptions and Recurring Offers
If GuruBooks later offers a paid subscription or automatically renewing plan, the checkout page will disclose the price, billing frequency, renewal terms, material cancellation terms, and any trial or introductory pricing before enrollment.
Customers will be provided a reasonable method to cancel recurring subscriptions. Additional statutory cancellation, reminder, renewal, or cooling-off requirements may apply depending on the customer's jurisdiction. Product-specific subscription terms presented at checkout will supplement these Terms.
9. Promotions, Free Offers, Coupons and Referrals
Promotions, free downloads, coupons, referral rewards, giveaways, bundles, and introductory offers may be subject to additional eligibility criteria, expiration dates, quantity limits, or product-specific rules shown with the offer.
Unless stated otherwise, promotional offers have no cash value, may not be sold or exchanged for cash, and may be withdrawn or modified for future participation. We may reject fraudulent, automated, duplicate, abusive, or otherwise ineligible participation.
10. Intellectual Property
The Site and GuruBooks materials, including original text, illustrations, layouts, graphics, logos, product designs, photographs, compilations, databases, and other protectable content, are owned by or licensed to Castles and Kingdoms, LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
References to third-party artists, songs, books, quotations, sports, brands, products, or other subjects do not imply sponsorship or endorsement unless expressly stated. Third-party trademarks and other rights remain the property of their respective owners.
No provision of these Terms claims exclusive rights in facts, ideas, systems, methods, public-domain material, or other material that is not protectable under applicable law.
11. Educational and Informational Disclaimer
GuruBooks instructional and informational materials are intended for general educational and entertainment purposes. Individual learning results vary. We do not guarantee that use of any book or guide will produce a particular skill level, performance result, income, ranking, or other outcome.
Content may simplify concepts for instructional purposes. Users remain responsible for how they apply the information.
12. Third-Party Services and Links
The Site may link to or integrate with third-party services such as Wix, Payhip, Stripe, Meta, email providers, social networks, marketplaces, affiliate merchants, and other websites. We do not control those third-party services and are not responsible for their independent content, availability, security, terms, or privacy practices.
If Castles and Kingdoms, LLC or GuruBooks receives a commission from an affiliate link or other commercial relationship, disclosures will be provided where required by applicable law.
13. Prohibited Uses
You may not use the Site or Services to violate law; infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights; introduce malware; interfere with Site security; scrape or harvest data in an abusive or unauthorized manner; impersonate another person; commit fraud; circumvent purchase, download, access, or technical restrictions; or use the Services in a manner that materially disrupts other users or our operations.
14. Availability, Changes and Discontinuation
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Site or Services, and may update product descriptions, formats, or features. Changes will not reduce mandatory consumer rights relating to purchases already completed.
We do not guarantee that the Site or every digital download will be uninterrupted or error-free. If a purchased file is temporarily unavailable, contact customer support for reasonable assistance or another legally required remedy.
15. Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SITE AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND EXCEPT WARRANTIES THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED BY LAW.
Nothing in this section excludes statutory guarantees or consumer rights that apply in the European Union, United Kingdom, United States, or another jurisdiction and cannot lawfully be waived.
16. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CASTLES AND KINGDOMS, LLC, INCLUDING ITS GURUBOOKS IMPRINT, AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AUTHORS, DESIGNERS, EDITORS, ILLUSTRATORS, PHOTOGRAPHERS, PROGRAMMERS, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM USE OF THE SITE OR SERVICES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING FROM A PARTICULAR PAID PRODUCT OR TRANSACTION WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO CASTLES AND KINGDOMS, LLC, WHETHER DIRECTLY OR THROUGH AN AUTHORIZED CHECKOUT PROVIDER, FOR THAT PRODUCT OR TRANSACTION.
These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law, including liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable consumer-protection law.
17. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold Castles and Kingdoms, LLC, including its GuruBooks imprint, harmless from third-party claims, losses, or reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the Services, infringement of third-party rights, or material violation of these Terms. This provision does not apply to the extent prohibited by consumer law.
18. Privacy and Cookies
Our collection and use of personal information are described in the GuruBooks Privacy Policy. Cookie and tracking choices are addressed through the Site's cookie-consent tools and related notices. The Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference for information purposes but governs privacy matters separately from these commercial Terms.
19. Electronic Communications and Marketing
You agree that transaction-related communications, such as order confirmations, download links, receipts, security notices, and customer-service responses, may be sent electronically where permitted by law.
Promotional email is subject to applicable consent and opt-out requirements. You may unsubscribe from marketing communications using the unsubscribe link or other method provided in the message. Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent necessary transactional communications concerning an order or account.
20. Governing Law and Consumer Rights
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, U.S., without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except that mandatory consumer-protection laws of the jurisdiction where an eligible consumer resides may continue to apply.
Nothing in these Terms deprives a consumer of rights or remedies that cannot be waived by contract, including any mandatory rights concerning digital content, unfair contract terms, refunds, conformity, or access to courts or dispute-resolution mechanisms.
21. Disputes
Before filing a formal claim, customers are encouraged to contact terms@gurubooks.guru so that we can attempt to resolve the matter informally.
22. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The revised Terms will be posted with a new effective date. Material changes will apply prospectively unless applicable law permits otherwise. Terms in effect when a purchase is completed will generally govern that transaction, subject to mandatory law.
23. Severability and No Waiver
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the extent permitted by law. Failure to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive the right to enforce it later.
